The McLaren MP4-12C

It's been over a decade since the British racing giants made history with the fastest production car ever made (at the time), their iconic F1. Only 106 of the hyper cars were made but Chairman Ron Dennis has made a striking statement "Since 1966, when McLaren first raced in F1, 106 teams have come and gone - and that tells me that if we stay solely as an F1 team it will lead to extinction." Their latest creation, the MP4-12C is said to be an attempt to avoid the fate that has cursed many of their fellow F1 brothers, by becoming a fully fledged road car manufacturer.

Dennis claims the company will build over 1,200 of the cars in the first year alone, producing around the same amount of cars as the companies it will be competing with. It will cost around 150,000 which is standard supercar money and there have been 1,600 pre-orders already.

The factory which is set to be producing the car by 2011 has not yet been built, but when it is it will create 300 new jobs. The MP4-12C was revealed by McLaren at a press conference at their futuristic headquarters outside of Woking, it was uncovered by its first two test drivers, team F1 racers, Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button.

"The 12C won't take you to the edge of what's possible; it will take you to the edge of the edge. It's what we call an 'and' car. It's powerful and efficient; lightweight and safe; fast and comfortable" Explained Antony Sheriff, Managing Director. Its lightweight construction will be built around a revolutionary Carbon Monocell which is astoundingly strong and will be capable of reaching 60mph in "under three seconds".

There is no denying that this is a supercar, it's not going to cause as much of a stir as the F1 but the bigger question is whether the success of this car and this brand will wear off when they lose their exclusivity? Will every millionaire want one if they know the wont own the only one on the roads? It's a question that only time will answer but one that could determine the future of this Formula racing giant.

The new McLaren is bound to cause a few driving bans as many of the owners of the previous F1 were convicted of speeding within months of receiving the car.

Need For Speed Most Wanted is a great street racing game where you will have a wide choice of cars to choose from. If you love driving games where you have to beat the cops then you will love this. The great element of playing this is that it takes place during daytime rather than in the night like other, Need For Speed games.

Imagine driving behind the wheel of some of your favourite cars. In this installation, the game takes you on a new journey. Although the plot and story line could do with a bit more oomph, the driving experience is amazing. It is an amusement type game set in streets filled with industrial buildings and graffiti.

What I loved about this game is that the engine noises are very realistic. You can have a lot of fun making engine noises that are louder than other games. If you like a challenge and want a fast paced driving game then this is it. Getting used to driving the cars can be tricky at first, but you soon get the hang of things.

As well as driving cool cars that are top of the range you will also need to chase off cops on many occasions. Need For Speed Most Wanted is available to purchase on a number of game consoles including, PlayStation 2, PC, Wii and Xbox 360. If you are a lover of driving fast with plenty of freedom then this is the experience for you.

The game introduces a new way of driving against bad guys and cops. With a story that is a little shallow at times it still provides great game play. If you are a lover of car games then you have to try out Need For Speed Most Wanted.

The story begins on an ordinary Saturday morning. This part is narrated to introduce the story to newcomers. It then goes on to explain a story of revenge and restoring order. The evil guys, Razor and the neighborhood police that meanly keys your vehicle at the start of the game are irritating and evil enough to bother you.

This story is not very deep and has been done before. However if you like challenging racing games then you will want to experience this game for the sheer thrill of it. The graphics are one of the best elements of this game as they are very clear. Obviously it depends on what game console you are playing on as to what the graphics will be like. The Xbox is probably one of the best game systems to play this on.

The game is available in different versions and depending on your console the graphics will be altered. The best console for displaying Need For Speed Most Wanted graphics is definitely the X Box. Cars are varied and all look great in design. Throughout the game different cars will be made available. The strange thing with the game is that the streets look wet when they are not and this would make driving more difficult. To give an overall opinion, this game is challenging, worthwhile and fun. Do not take it too seriously.

How To Negotiate With A Used Car Salesman

Used cars can be found all around the country. Mileage can be important when you are talking about these kinds of cars. You can find plenty of used car deals throughout the Midwest. If the dealer does not want to sell you a certain car because he does not think you can afford it, it may be wise for you to try to find another dealer who will sell you that certain car. However there are ways in how to negotiate with a used car salesman if you want that car bad enough.

You need to be able to haggle well with the used car salesman. You do this through the possibility that you have done plenty of research. You need to know what kind of prices you can afford before you go into developing ideas for making an actual purchase of a car. You have to find the best possible deal for you and your family, especially in a tough economy.

Those people who are looking to purchase a used car should be focused on the lemon laws within a particular state. States have a variance between their lemons laws. If you do not know the lemon laws in your given state, they can be easy to find out by looking on the Internet for some used car laws.

Some people automatically do not trust used car salesman. Salesmen have bad reputations, so many customers feel intimidated before they enter the building. Many of these people working for auto dealers are pushy, that is part of their job. When shopping for used cars should be fun, especially for first time owners, it is rare because of auto salesmen.

You will have to decide to stand your ground. You need to know that these salesmen make a living selling used cars. The amount of cars they sell will determine size of their paycheck so you can imagine they want to sell, sell, sell. Have your price, and really stand fit, really! These salespeople have a big price gap and they can come down in price but they will not do so. You have to fight back, it is like a tug a war with your money, do not let them win it.

Depending on the economy, the paychecks that these workers take home today are probably getting smaller. One of the ways to stimulate the economy is to sell good used cars. Some people seem to think that something like cash for clunkers was very helpful for the economy. This had a benefit for the salespeople since their sales grew slowly.

Program or not, they need sales and they will be persistent because bills need to be paid and food needs to be on the table. Nonetheless, you want the find the best deal and they want to make a sale. Before you walk into that dealership, know what you want. Make a list of priorities. Is gas mileage more important than gas? Even if you go online and do your research, the more power you have the better.

When you are trying to buy a car, you need to find someone who wants to work with you. The car dealers have to have enough salespeople available to make sure they can learn specific things about what consumers need. So you voice your list to them and show as much persistence as they do. How to negotiate with a used car salesman may seem hard but when you know what you want and stand your ground, the sale will most likely be in your favor.

The Allure of Vintage Ford Cars

Ford cars have constantly been associated with American pride and practice. One of the most important vehicle makers today, the Ford brand is known all around the planet and has been attached with a tag of sturdiness and quality. These are the same qualities it has preserved thru the years and more than a century after the brand had been displayed, a number of its vehicles from its early and mid productions still ply American streets, if not, vintage car shows.

This doesn't suggest though that Ford just pumped out one car after another leaving quality behind. On the contrary, because they managed to produce vehicles at a fast rate, they were able to concentrate absolutely on their research and development which permitted them to come up with high standard vehicles.

This prime quality has permitted a number of their cars from the post 2nd world war era to still be street deserving today. Vintage Ford vehicles have many commotion from Ford loyalists and though a full functioning and new-like condition is pretty much impossible to find, plenty still invest their time, money and efforts in restoring them.

Some of the more favored vintage vehicles by Ford produced in the 50's and the sixties where the Fairlane, Thunderbird, Falcon, Galaxie, Torino, LTD and naturally, the Mustang. Many of those make and models were paying homage to the muscle autos that dominated the American automobile industry and market in that era. Huge powerful engines and loud roaring were typical of these muscle cars and they were specifically American.

Owning and maintaining vintage Ford automobiles, like the Mustang, today will entail some expense. This is because vintage Ford parts could be hard to come by. For some autos, the parts may be simpler to find because of the vast number of their production. Because of this, parts might be lifted from the other cars with the same make and model and they can be used to revive other automobiles.

This though takes ages as you still need to go to junk yards. For a less complicated time, you'll just scour the Net you get the right ones.

You can never go far wrong with vintage Ford vehicles. They're an American convention and they can provide you with that certain distinction that makes folk turn their heads to have a look at the automobiles. As an owner of a fully restored vintage Ford vehicle, this may surely make you proud.

As it gets older you car battery can start to lose its charge. You'll need to get a midtronics battery tester to see where it's at. When you battery is weak it can cause your car turn over slower and make for harder starts. There may be times when you have to jump start your car because your battery just can't do it. This is very common when you only use your car for quick trips to the grocery or the weather gets bitterly cold. You could just buy a new battery but if you had a cheap battery charger things could be different. With a low priced battery charger you may be able to keep your battery going for a lot longer.

Just so you know, a battery charging system fault is brought to attention when the warning light on the dashboard goes on. As recharging will not work in this instance, the charging system must be immediately repaired. With a refillable battery, remove the caps and place a damp rag over the openings when you begin to recharge.

If your battery is sealed with only a charge-indicator window on the top, you should only recharge the battery if the indicator is showing as green or dark. If the indicator reads clear, or is a yellow color, you should replace the battery.

When recharging the battery, a trickle charger is your best bet. The trickle charger is specially designed to slowly charge your battery, and is relatively inexpensive. This device has two wires with alligator clips attached, and an electric cord to plug it into the outlet. You will notice that one wire has a green or black jacket, while the other's jacket is red.

Make sure that your car ignition is turned off when you begin. This is probably the most important tip to remember when starting to recharge your battery. You will first attach the red clip of the charger to the battery's positive terminal, which is marked with POS or +, while the green (or black) clip is attached to the negative terminal of the battery (marked with Neg or -).

Once you have properly attached the battery charger to your battery terminals you will need to connect your charger to an electricity source via an ordinary outlet and switch it on. You will need to run the charger for a number of hours or overnight for good results. You should pay attention to the charger's meter. When it reads less than one amp your charge should be complete. When you have finished charging your battery you should switch off, unplug you charger and disconnect it from your battery.

If your battery still will not start your car after recharging you should then attempt to jump start your engine. If you can jump start your car and you have no warning lights and your ammeter tells you that your charging system is working properly you will need to replace the battery with a new one.
